2) Deracializing that word - as and especially as a white person - erases and thence delegitimizes the historical oppression that word is symbolic and reminiscent of.
3) Given said historical context and the inseparability of that word from people of African descent in general and African-Americans in particular, such a statement implies that said people are ignorant by using their existence as a yardstick for said ignorance.

It’s correct.

That IS legit what it means.

Not to say its okay for Caucasians to use the word since it has so much hatred behind it towards coloreds, its still the truth.
